Is the CLI free?
Free forever, npm install -g vikit-cli, no usage cap. Only premium bundles are paid.
What do I need to run it?
Just Node.js ≥18 for the free core — fully offline, no GitHub auth. Installing a premium bundle (vk install <bundle>) additionally needs GitHub CLI (gh auth login) since bundles ship from private releases.
What OS is supported?
macOS, Linux, Windows.
Does it only work with Claude?
No — skills install for Cursor, Codex, and Claude.
Will updating wipe my customizations?
